I reacently read an article in SuperChevy that explained how to use Cadillac calipers and firebid rotors. Then on Ebay I bought the rear disc bracket conversion. It had a list of parts to complete the set up. I put it all on to the instruction, but the caliper seems to run to close for the pad to fit out side of rotor. It looks as if its about 3/16 to tight. I tried putting the bracket on bothe sides of backing plate flange to check results. This made the piston nearly hit the rotor. Anyone had to deal with this before?
Thanks

I just finished this conversion with the same problem. Guess what I found? The brackets at the top two ears are not parallel to each other. Take measurements from the inside of the rotor to a reference point on the caliper and I'm sure you'll see what I mean. A "tweak" with a large "persuader" to get them back in line is req'd. Or send them back as junk. Any problems or questions, feel free to e-mail me, I have no new borns at home. Tony A. ;)
