Can I use 3/8" metal fuel line and fitting for the low pressure return hose? I installed a hydro boost system and used the 3/8 metal fuel line for my return hose that goes from the steering box back to the pump (I used rubber hose on the pump side). Now I can't get the air out of the system and I'm wondering if its the hose, thanks.

Think about it, the pump is on the engine and the steering box is on the frame. When the engine rocks, even if it does so slightly, that metal line will be bent one way and then the other. It won't be long before that line will fail. That's why they were both rubber to begin with.

Guess I should have explained a little better. I used metal line starting at the steering box, cut the metal line and attached rubber hose that completes the line at the pump. I'm just wondering if its letting air into the system. Are the fittings the same for fuel lines and power steering lines?

Ah, I see. The rubber hose should be securely clamped to the metal line. A small heater hose clamp should do the trick. I couldn't say if that's the source of your air bleed problem.
