I have a 69 Chevelle Malibu that I am trying to replace the "Rag Joint". I have managed to take out the 2 threaded bolts that hold it to the sterring box but, it appears that there are 2 studs still holding the "Rag Joint". Does anyone know howI they are supposed to be removed.
Thanks,

The two studs are just for alignment I believe. Just wiggle it around a little, or a few light taps with a hammer.
Good Luck,

Despite what Dragracer said, there is a bolt that goes thru the rag joint at the top of the shaft out of the steering box that has to be removed too and you might have to lower your column from the dash and lift it towards the seat to get the rag joint out. Hope this helps.
