Found a 76 Camaro behind a farmers garage and he wants to get it out of there. Anything I can use off it on either my 67 or 71 Chevelle? I'm thinking I will part it out if nothing else to buy parts for my cars.

The steering column will fit the 71 as long as you put the chevelle intermediate steering shaft on it. THe rest I'd probably part out. You can get a couple bucks for the subframe if it's in decent shape.

I think the front sway bar will fit and didn't someone say the disc brakes?

Good donor for a tall-spindle front disc conversion. I used EVERYTHING from a '75 Nova (same stuff as the Camaro) including the master cylinder and booster--although--the booster was tricky and I don't recommend trying to make it fit the "A" body, and the brake hoses are a little long.

The console shifter isn't "correct" for the "A" body, but it's a nice unit if it's in good condition--it's a poor-man's "ratchet shifter". Bang the shifter lever forward and to the right, and there are positive stops built in to prevent over-shifting. Pounding the lever straight forward bypasses the positive stops; if you don't whack it a little bit sideways--you'd never know it was anything but a pathetic stock shifter.

The subframe is in demand from circle-track guys; and from folks who want inexpensive (but decent) underpinnings for the front end of street rods and kit cars.

Rear brakes should interchange; I think they're all 9 1/2" drums. If it had rear discs, you could adapt them to the "A" axle; but I don't think rear discs are likely in '76.

actually, there's probably a lot of things that you could use- i'm one of those weirdos that likes to save things like the convoluted tubing that is on all the wiring.
the front spindles could be used, but there are compromises with doing that.
does it have a tight ratio steering box? if so, that's a bolt in deal.

Yeah, it bolts on--but the steering stops are incorrect for an "A" body. I've got one on my El Camino, and it takes forty acres to do a U-turn.
