if the car has front and rear sway bar, shouldn't the build sheet indicate rpo F41? the sheet has rpo F40 listed.

Could have had the rear bar added later. All cars came with the front bar just not the back. I will be adding the rear bar to my car soon.

In '69, the 1st year that Chevy offered F41 on Chevelles, only 722 did (SS or any V8). Some enlightened person may have added it somewhere along the line in the last 34 years. The Olds 442 used a rear bar from late '64-on, and the Buick Skylark GS did (from '65 or '66, not sure which). With F41 you got the bars and h.d. shocks but standard springs (good for compliance, roll control etc). If you wanted stiff springs you had to take F40.
A friend's late father ordered his last '85 Caprice with F40 and had the rear bar dealer-installed before delivery (he always bought posi starting with his '61 Biscayne, bought a '67 with Z06 h.d. chassis equipment and a '73 with a 454, 3.42 Posi & F41). The funny thing was that if you saw the man you'd swear that a slight gust of wind would have blown him away (no offence Linus, R.I.P.)
