I started to research the title on my '68 about 15 yrs ago and only got so far. Are there any resources that are available to get me the info I need? I was able to get the car back to Chilhowie, Va in the late 70s.

With privacy laws now in effect there is little hope for title searches.

Most states don't keep information beyond a few years and will not give you what they have.

The best hope is that you can get previous ownership information from the next owner and follow the chain back that way.
