LOOKED AT a 1998 s-10 set up , not sure its a fit, buddie has a caddie eldorado 76 , want to know what other used set-ups work, and what to look out for ... mark ( ps my cars a 1966 12-bolt conversion to rear disc's )

'93-'97 F-bodies
Late '70's early '80's B-body
Some third gen F-bodies

May want to perform a search as this has been discussed a lot.

Good luck! graemlins/beers.gif

dont limit your self to the parking brakes being an intrakit part of the rear brakes, you can use simple front calipers on the rear and use my disc parking brake kit to simplify things. just helping you keep the options open.

And since I've done the rear disk swap with late 70's Caddy stuff, I can tell you that the ebrake stuff is a royal PITA! I'd highly suggest you look into 454's pinion mounted ebrake and consider his suggestion of just using the front calipers on the rear. This will also save tons of money since the rear calipers are about $120 ea rebuilt! Versus less than $20 ea for the front type!

Good luck, feel free to ask more questions or do a search as this has been posted about a whole bunch!

How would a micro brake work?? I've seen them on large straight trucks. Would this work w/ disc set up???

thanks BC. i quickly put this web page together among others, to explain what i have done. http://members.aol.com/smartasreality/page11.html

this is a great set up and i would use it every time. the caliper brackets a re simple, the calipers are simple and the disc parking brake is seperate and simple.
