I have a 69' convertible and I need to know the location for the toggle switch for the convertible top. Anybody know?

Upper right corner of the dash bezel, just above the lighter. The assembly manual has a digram with dimensions for locating the rear defog switch; the power top switch is the same location as the rear defog switch. If someone had ordered both the power top and a rear window defogger, the rear defog switch got moved underneath the lighter.

Just curious.............isn't there a hole in your dash above the lighter where the switch would be?

fwiw, I have seen the power rear gate window switches on the 69 Chevelle station wagons located above the lighter and below the lighter. And it seems to me I have seen 69 power top switches for a convertible located below the lighter. My 69 convertible switch is located above the lighter. And my 69 wagon rear gate window switch is located below the lighter. I have seen rear window defogger switches on 69's mounted above and below the lighter.

Now here's a little bit of trivia that some of you guys may not know.
I bought the compete dash out of a 1970 Impala wagon a few years back (same dash as the 69 Impala), and it has a dual (side by side) switch cluster on the dash that houses the rear window defogger switch and the power rear gate window switch. The bezel is all one piece. It's pretty cool and I have never seen another.
btw, the rear window defogger on the 70 Impala wagon consisted of a motor mounted inside the left side rear cover and a small rectangular vent with fins angled towards the rear window. So all it really did was blow air (whatever temperature the air was there) onto the rear glass. Not wires running thru the glass like some of you may have thought. Primitive by todays standards.
