: My car doesn't sit level

My Chevelle I recently purchased doesn't sit level. The front end sits higher than the rear as if it has no engine up front. However it's a factory L65 car with a late 70's 350 in it.

Also I've not had the chance to drive it since I got it as I'm still getting it back together before I take it on the road.

Any ideas as to why the front might be sitting higher than the rear?

Wrong or big block springs?

Hhhmmm....I guess it is possible since the guy that had the car before the guy who sold it to me was going to make it into a race car. I'm not sure if they're big block springs or not.

But now I'm thinking about big blocking it later down the road.....is there any way maybe I can make the rear sit higher to let it sit level going down the road?

You can use air shocks with helper springs(coil overs), air bags, and big block springs. But let me be the first to say thats the wrong way to go. The car sitting up higher will make it handle like trash and no fun to drive. possibly even unsafe like a floatly disconnected feeling.

I don't think I'll bag it.

I had thought of air shocks by themselves........that would work right?
