: crosssroad
bigdogD12cat Jul 22nd, 09, 2:01 PM went to ACES and had a ball! this is the 1st show my wife and i have ever been to, took our primmer red 71,
tunnel ram small block with 5spd trans .
entered work in progress, did the loud exhaust thing
that was fun, spin techs really sounded good!
Here is where the crossroad comes in.
there were so many nice chevelles kinda made ours look like rat turd. so we get back home and were talking
about it,we have had 4 motors and 3 trans in this thing
this last motor with tunnel ram was my idea, guess
i still live in the 80s.
SO guess just looking for a little input ,do i keep going
with retro look or step up and get with the curent times
big brakes big wheels ect.
my wife and I would really like to know what you guys
and gals think.
Thanks Ray and Tanja!
OutCast Jul 22nd, 09, 2:31 PM Ray, you will find as many different answers to that question, as there are members on this forum. My only suggestion to you is to build it the way that makes you happy. In this little NW corner of TC, there exist 8 second cars all the way to 15 second cars, show poodles and dragstrip beaters.
At the end of the day, it's your cash, your car and your dream. Build it your way and be happy with it every step of the way. Just keep it fun and don't get overwhelmed with how nice other people's cars are. Your's sounds really cool. I'd love to stuff a tunnel ram on my sled. :)

cobaltchev67 Jul 22nd, 09, 11:24 PM John's right. I'm going to add this though, make it all look good together whatever you do....there are some things that just don't go together.
66 Buick Special Jul 22nd, 09, 11:43 PM Sounds like a cool car too me!
If you've got the tunnel ram working for ya' and you like it... Keep it!
I've thought about sticking a tunnel ram on my Buick for at least the last year just because I think it would look bad azz to have a couple of Holleys with velocity stacks sticking out of the hood.
As far as paint goes... do what makes you happy as everyone else has stated. If everyone's car looked the same or followed the same trend... things would get boring pretty quickly.
kettbo Jul 23rd, 09, 12:32 AM how do i get pics on here?
Ray,
If you have a PhotoBucket or car domain site, just put a link here.
or
You can upload pics form you computer into a gallery in your user area too and put the link for that.
IIRC, once you become a full paid member, you can copy fotos into your thread using the tan icon that looks like a mountain and sun, in the header above the text, right of center, when you are composing.
