Its about a local hot rod shop is CA (local to me), allegedley stealling cars from their customers.
intresting.. makes you wonder how well you know the shop/people that are working on your car. :confused:

only 4-5 people responded
I got it from Chevytalk----------------lots of shoebox fans there,, and an FYI was also posted in the 58-60 forums (where I hang out there)

Really old news, this was heavily publicized a few months ago.
He was just arrested on July 1st. :confused:
I did a Google search of his name, and saw a couple of car articles in which his hot rod shop was mentioned.
Apparently his shop had a reputation for doing decent work.
Too bad he got greedy and decided to pad his pockets with thievery from his customers.
The arrest warrant was mainly for the theft of one car, however, they suspect more.
If they only prosecute him for one car theft, and can't prove any others, a good lawyer might...might...be able to work out a deal with the DA for several years of probation.
However, I have a feeling this guy will be spending about the next 7 or 8 years shooting hoop...
