Hi;I just picked up a 1-1/4 front sway bar off a 78 Buick regal at the wrecking yard.It looks exactly like mine on my 66 except it's approx. 2 in. shorter.It will bolt on.but the bar rubs on my springs.I thought that these years and models were interchangable.Do I need to use different end links or something? Or am I missing someting here.The catalogs I look through show the same bar Part# for the 66 chevelles and the 78 G bodys.Anyone have any comments on this?I'm going back to the wrecking yard tommorrow to exchange it for one off a 73-81 camaro as I was told these should fit also.Can anyone help me out here? The 78-81 F body will interchange. GM #356534. As you found out the G body is different.
