i have front passenger side damage on frame (about 18 inches). It has been beat out in the past, but i am afraid of it. Is there anything I can do or should I start looking for a new frame? Could I mig that corner on if i found it from another? Im getting ready to restore for my son and want it right. How hard is it to find a usable frame if I go that route?
Not hard at all actually. I will have a complete 67 2 dr coupe frame available in the Spring. It will go to someone (who has a paid $20 membership) in the Virginia Chevelle Enthusiasts Assn VCEA (http://www.chevelles.net/vcea/)
first, then to a $20 paid member of this group second. Then will be offered on e-Bay. If you are interested, e-mail me at herb@hgsr.net I'm in Northern Virginia, up by Winchester.
Since you are in VA, you may also wish to consider doing this:
Frame Restoration (http://home.comcast.net/~petelohr/einstyn1/einstyn-06.htm)
Ashland (over by Richmond) isn't that far away from you.
