Hi guys, I just finished up the install of the line lock (thanx for the help).. I went to do a test, http://www.chevelles.com/forum/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/26054.html
& the lock didn't completely hold the car back.. BTW, it was on dry concrete, is it normal for the car to creep foward a little in high traction situations??

Or do I just need to put more pressure on the pedal before locking it??

TIA,
Scott

Mash the brake pedal harder. Won't hurt anything, since after you apply the line lock it'll only be applying pressure to the front.

And, yeah, on dry pavement it may creep anyway. If you have good traction...you have good traction! Kinda hard to stop that. Line locks are, of course, primarily for doing burnouts in a water box where there's much less traction. Shouldn't be an issue for you in that situation.

Just make sure and give the brakes a good squeeze before engaging the line lock.

Nice tread pattern, btw!

Speaking of line loc's, I had an issue with mine last weekend. I was kind of showing off on a friday night, so I hit the brakes and brought the pressure up to 1400psi (I have a brake pressure gauge) and engaged the loc. Commenced with burnout (left a couple of trenches in the pavement) but when I let off the loc, the pressure only dropped to 500psi. It took about 5 minutes for the pressure to drop back to zero. I even tried re-engaging the loc and even tapping on the solenoid to no avail. Was 1400psi too much for the hurst line loc?
