Tod74 Jul 20th, 09, 5:16 PM We recently got a DVD with our Hot Rod magazine...It was a film of a guy from GOODMARK working on a 70 Chevelle Convertable. They are going to build the whole car.It started with a complete tear down and It ended with the floorpans being welded in. Pretty cool DVD anyone else see it?

I like this series but my friend has told me that after he accepted the first DVD, the others started coming in the mail one by one. That was fine, he wanted them. However, Overhauling DVD's started showing up too. All being charged to his credit card. So just watch your credit card statement and put a stop to the extra DVD's when you have had enough. I really do like the Hot Rod Dream Build Drive Series and think is was worth my friends money.:D

Tod74 Jul 20th, 09, 7:12 PM They don't have any credit card info...paid with a check. But I will watch.I actually hope they keep sending them cause I want all of them. I like in the first one the guy mentions several times about the dude repairing the rust holes by just welding bead after bead over and over until the hole was patched. :D Whenever he would run into a spot the guy had "fixed" he would be like "Again...with the weld. This had to take him 5 times longer than it would have to replaced the pan....I just can't believe it. "
animal69 Jul 20th, 09, 7:48 PM If you didn't order the DVD, you don't have to pay for it or send it back according to USPS laws. If you don't pay for it they will stop sending them to you.
BlksilveradoSS Jul 20th, 09, 10:23 PM How can I get these dvd's? I looked on hot rod's website, but they didn't say anything about it.
ftrplt Jul 20th, 09, 10:42 PM I have the series of DVD's called the Dream, Build, Drive series. I am a subscriber to Hot Rod magazine and they sent me an offer to start receiving them about a year ago. Each one is like 26.10 with shipping and you can send the ones back that you don't want. I actually sent one back that was loaded with a bunch of Ford specific stuff. Anyway, the chevelle rebuild series is complete and now they are sending things out about "Building the High Performance Engine" which is aimed at the brand new engine builder. I guess they will continue until I tell them to stop. The chevelle rebuild series was actually pretty good and considering that I have a 1970 2 door hardtop I am rebuilding, it does offer some pretty good advice especially for a novice like me.
Tod74 Jul 20th, 09, 11:39 PM One thing I found funy in the first one...Every single bolt just came right out no problem at all...BUT it did look like someone had already started to fix it up and may have had it off the frame before.
Tod74 Jul 20th, 09, 11:43 PM You can buy them here $19.95 each. Worth it in my opinion, but I have only seen the first one.It is pretty long too....hour to hour and a half just guessing.
