I changed the plug on my CD-DVD drive. I plugged it into location 1 from location 0. Now the computer can't find the drive. How do I find the drive?
I am assuming that it is no longer "drive A."
I am using windows XP.

I moved it because the drive will not open, I am assuming the drive is toast, but why not try something before buying a new one.

Drive A is usually reserved for a floppy drive.
Try 'control panel' -'add hardware'.

To "open" drive use a paper clip and insert into small hole on face of drive with power ON.
