What kind of shocks would you guys recommend running with the air bags? KYB's? Does it even matter? Do I have to worry about over-extending the shocks pumping up the air bags?
I just blew my drivers side air shock and am thinking about new shocks and airbags. I need a bit of lift to clear the rear tires. The 295/60R15's barely fit with the air shocks pumped up.
Thanks!

I have air lift bags and KYB gas adjust shocks in my 67 and am very happy with the setup. You don't need to worry about over extending your shocks even at full capacity of the bags unless you got some sort of lift springs on it or something. I would highly recommend you ditch those air shocks while you have the chance, vie seen more than one frame crack at the shock mounts thanks to those crappy things, the frame is just not designed to take that kind of stress in that area. this is the 3rd a body i have had with kybs and have been happy every time. edelbrock also makes a great shock but they are very pricey, a lot of companys make good shocks, ive just stuck with what works for me and has been good quality for the money.. Good luck

I have airbags and KYB shocks in the rear of my 71 Chevelle and am totally happy with the results. 100% better than the airshocks that I had!
