Just FYI.... I read a lot about using poly bushings on the upper rear control arms. Seems a lot of folks think that poly bushings will cause the rear to bind.

I had to adjust my pinion angle, and I had Hotchkiss adjustable uppers (you have to unbolt one end to adjust) The Hotchkiss arms have poly bushings on both ends. I had planned to adjust it a few times, and try a new trans mount too. So I got some Edelbrock adjustable arms that don't need to be unbolted each time. They have a spherical bushing on the frame side, and a regular poly bushing on the axle.

I did notice immediately, that the rear felt less "bouncy". I also didn't notice any extra harshness from the lack of front bushings. The Edelbrocks are nice pieces, and I really do think that the poly front bushings in the Hotchkiss arms caused the rear to bind and ride rougher and bounce more..... I'm really glad I made the change. FWIW.... smile.gif

I've got a pair of the Edelbrocks to go in. I was worried about the poly bushings. I'm glad to hear they seem to work out okay.

It's not that poly bushings cause bind. The rear suspension in general is a terrible design and the poly bushings just aggrevate it. If you look at the design of a factory 4 bar set-up ala. A body, G body you will see there is no way for the rear housing to move freely through it's arc due to the converging arms placed that way to keep the housing centered instead of running watts-link or panhard bar setup. The poly bushings tighten this further making it more difficult for the rear suspension to act independently. Got it :D
