I wanted to update where I'm at with the front Air Ride suspension. I have to say it was pretty stright forward. A little grinding, a little welding....but nothing that can't be handled right in the garage graemlins/thumbsup.gif Here are a couple of pics from the trial fit last night. I still have to run the air lines, but I had to see it all together. After we bolted everything up, my buddy and I shared a couple graemlins/beers.gif and admired our work so far. I think it's going to be

John,
looks great and that is exactly what I want to do.
my question is what shock travel and leangth did you get.
and did you make the shock relocators or purchase them?
then have you spoken to anyone who is running these and what did they say about ,ride, handling that sort of stuff?

thanks
Mark

Mark,

The shocks, and perches $ mounts, come with the kit. I found a PDF file on Air Rides site that goes through the install. Shock placement is somewhat up to you. You just have to figure out where you want your mid-travel, then cut them to fit.

I haven't really talked to anybody about the ride "comfort". But Michigan roads suck, and even in a 4x4, you get beat up

My biggest reason for going this way was ride height adjustablity.

That is damn nice man. It's funny i did the same thing (assemble the front suspension) wednesday night. What did you use to coat your A-arms?

I did the A-arms in a Semi Gloss enamel. At first I thought that they'd be too glossy, But after assembling them I like the contrast.

John is doing a first class job and he bribes the inspectors with cold beer. :D I'll be home Sunday ready for inspection. graemlins/beers.gif

im really curious as to how an airbag suspension hooks at the strip....air ride techs catalog they claim that their 01 stang gt ran 12.60@109 w/ a 1.48 60ft time
