Do you really want to go there? I know wagon springs had the rear of my 70 chevelle 4-5" taller than it was supposed to be.

Wheel hop was horrible, the pinion seal was worn out (leaking) from the severe drive line angle, and it put more weight on the front.

When I eventually replaced the coils with HD stock I found that 1 of the wagon coils was bent!

Air Shocks may lift it, but you can break the shock mount.

Do you have big rear tires that need the clearance?

I've always ran air shock without any problems, just because they're easy. But I don't race, or try to lift it more than a couple inches.

However, Air Bags (in the coils) seems the better, more correct way to go. Pretty accesible to buy and better ride characteristics.

Of course you can alway go with the 4 x 4 on top of the punkin  but I understand railroad tracks are murder on the back (j/k) graemlins/beers.gif

You could also investigate Southside Machine's Lift Bars, do a forum search there should be some info for ya.

SSM lift bars don't lift the rear at all- they change the rear pinion angle to help with launch.

Air Bags/Air Springs will lift the rear about 1"-2" but not any more than that- they are basically to stiffen up to take larger loads in the back- But they are still MUCH better than air shocks.

For more info on air bags- check out the Air lift 1000 from these guys- www.airliftcompany.com (http://www.airliftcompany.com/al1000.htm)

I have a set in my 70 elky- If you look at the pictures in my sig- that was before i installed the bags... with them in at 15lbs- the rear is about 1/2" higher than the photos.
