I am in the process in taking my body off the frame and the only thing keeping me back is the parking brake cable. It comes in from the frame to the firewall and I can't get it out, any ideas?

where the cable goes through the top of the frame and comes out on the inside there is a horseshoe clip that holds the outer cable housing to the frame to keep it from pulling in. pop that off and remove the bracket for the rear cable and it should pull out

also under the dash there is metal expansion ring that holds the cable to the firewall you have to disconnect the inner cable from the pedal assembly and then use a plyers or a hose clamp to squeeze the tabs together and then push down to get it out through the firewall
