im thinking of putting the Umi tubular controls with adjustable uppers on my 72 chevelle. my question is how involved is the install. will i have to pull out ther rearend or can i change each arm individuly leaving the rear on. and also after i put these on will i have to change anything with the gears like backlash or anything like that or is it just bolt on and go. i wanna put these on my self. i have a 4 post lift in my garage but i dont know anything about how these will efect the rearend if any at all. i have a 12 bolt with eaton posi. thanks

Its a bolt on and go.....you can install one at a time.....make sure the adj uppers are the same length as the stock arms you take off...no other adjustments (backlash and such) are necessary.....the adjustable uppers will allow you to adjust pinion angle but to start with stock length will be fine.....pretty easy on the difficulty chart

is there any difference between the boxed lower and the tubular lower control arm. and also im curently running a stock setup with ladder bars, they were on there when i got it. what kinda difference will i notice if i go to umi's setup with their sway bar and control arms. it hasnt seen any track time since ive owned it but id like to give it a shot once or twice. i wanna ditch the ladder bar setup cause i hear a lot of poping and banging when i turn and go over bumps. thanks

Hello
There is no difference in the tubular or boxed versions. We just offer both versions for the customers that want the old school look compared to the tubular more racing look. If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks

Most new arms come with bushings already pushed in. Of course you'll need to remove and replace the two bushings that are in the rear axle.
