I hope to be making the right move to go this deep with my 66 convertible.I wish I had researched on Team Chevelle 5 years ago before buying it but its mine now.I have decided to completely redo what was done.The frame was repaired and painted,the rockers and complete floor were butchered,and the quarter skins were not trimmed down,he ran them into the jambs and up to the quarter window opening.I guess some people would probably paint it and say its only a driver but it bugs me.The flat replacement panel in the trunk over the axle,ect...The car is very out of wack so prior measuring will not be accurate,adds to the fun ha ha.
Well enough about that.My question that I have is that Iam going to rebuild this car and have a doner cowl for some of the parts.I will use new inner/outer rockers,full floor pan and trunk with new supports already installed,tailamp panel,inner/outer wheelhouses and full quarters modified for a convertible.
It seems that the proper order will be the floor pans and cowl,fitted with the doors because the need to be assembeled together.With that done fitting the wheelhouses,quarters and tailamp panel.Ok let me have it.:confused:

Does it seem like the right order.Ive read alot of the threads but most start with a car that measures out good to begin with.I have to cut the elcamino frame and have the frame chart from my 66 info cd to start with a solid correctly measured base.After that the assembely order is just how it seams the factory order would have gone.Any input would be appreciated,Thanks
