I'm going with the gunmetal C5s on my red '69. It's different and sets the car apart from the chrome crowd. I'm not bashing chrome/polished at all, I just think the gunmetal on a classicly styled rim like the C5 makes a statement.

So it depends on what you're going for, I suppose. There's no right or wrong answer: both will look great.

BTW, if I may ask, how much did you lower the front and rear of your ride, and what mods did you do to get that look?

I went polished instead of chrome. So I'd vote chrome.

unfortunately I can't answer that question exactly....car came like that when I bought it....the previous owner told me he put lowering springs on it......its about 2 inches lower than stock from what I can tell

While not a fan of chrome wheels,I'm willing to bet that they'd look great against your Blue.

I've got a '72 and I've been battling this question for months. I finally realized that the color of the car makes a huge difference on how gunmetal looks. IMO black with gunmetal, looks no good. However, any red or dark red car, the gunmetal looks amazing. Then there comes that factor of: cars that look plain in a picture, sometimes look amazing in real life. I think this is b/c sometimes it takes more than one angle to appreciate something. That being said, I'd go with the gunmetal. Combined with the blue, the car will have more of an "all business" respectable quality to it, rather than the chrome which would provide a "bright, flashy" image. Also, gotta keep chrome clean and dry or it pits...Right when I decided to paint my car malboro red and put gunmetal c-55's on it, i base cleared some keystones instead (see other post).

I was at the Super Chevy Show at Norwalk about a month ago. The Coy Wheel's guy was there with his display. They are coming out with black chrome C5's that look awesome. I can just picture some on my victory red 70. Just something else for you guys to think about.

Gun Metal....good choice. Your Chevelle is about the same color as mine. I was already leaning towards the Gun Metal but after seeing those pictures above I am now officially sold. They give it that classic muscle car look with today's technology. What size Coy's did you order and what tires?

I didn't see that you decided to go with the gunmetal, I just voted for chrome. I think the gunmetal will look just as good.
