Hey everyone,

I picked up a '67 Camaro 12 bolt yesterday (it was a good deal, even though I don't own a Camaro). It has the factory square traction bar and all the brackets. Wondering if this rear will swap into a '69 (which I eventually want to get for a drag car project). If so, I'll build this rear...if not, I'll send it down the road. Thanks for the help!

Hey Tony,

I was just talking to a coworker that owns a 67 and a 69 Camaro.

The 67 rear should work in the 69 Camaro. The difference is that the 67 used the radius rod with mono leaf springs and both shocks mounted on the backside. The 69 doesn't use the radius rod because it was changed to use multi leaf springs and staggered shocks. The shocks mount to the spring brackets under the spring, not the housing.

So the 67 will work in the 69, you just shouldn't need the radius rod. Use 69 spring brackets.
