I have just added four wheel disk brakes to my '68. I have run a steel vacuum line to my tranny, and rubber one to the brake booster. Is there a clean way to run both of them off the rear vacuum port in the manifold? I haven't been able to find a 90 deg brass tee and I've tried to make my own but it leaks like a sieve. What does everyone else do? Is it okay to run a rubber line to the tranny and insert a plastic tee in that?

I've got a fitting that is one big hex with one side havung a nipple which had a short rubber line connecting it to the tranny line (this was when I had a PG) and the other side has about 6 inches of solid tubing which you then connect the hose for the brakes to.
You definatly should have at least a short length of rubber between the manifold and tranny line to account for engine movement. You don't want to crack the tranny line.
Ground Up has a selection of various fittings. I don't see the one I have, which may be original to the car. Someone has to have what you need. Shop around. I wouldn't put a T in since the lines are different sizes. Might not be a problem, though.

Try this fitting from Ground Up. You can run a rubber vacuum line to the transmission or a steel line & connect it to the fitting using a small length of tubing. NOTE: This fitting will not fit a BB rectangle port Edelbrock Performer RPM. The threaded port is too close to one of the runners for this to fit.
