I started with the rag joint and now my steering wheel column and all it out. What should I do to refurbish if anything. It will get a good cleaning for sure. Are there any do's or don't do's? 67 chevelle malibu manual steering

If you want to get someone to do it for you, one of the MD club members does that work, let me know and I'll get you together. He may be willing to help if you want to do it your self.

Try www.steeringcolumnsgalore.com, (http://www.steeringcolumnsgalore.com,) that's where I'm sending mine when I'm ready. I think the '70 columns are more complicated than the '66 models.

Sorry about that, it's columnsgalore.com, let us know how it works out when it's done. If you wanna keep your original column instead of an exchange let them know and they'll give it back, I already emailed them about that. They said $150 to rebuild it and repaint it (though mine's a '70 with tilt, yours might be cheaper), but I think the shipping is what might get expensive. For shipping it they said insure it for $400 just in case! Good luck.
