Hey guys, has anybody used the Fat Man upper and lower A-Arms for our cars with the drum brake spindles? Wanted to know if they were any good, or if they looked cheap. Or if it's something that could be duplicated pretty easily, 799 a set is a little pricy, and after seeing a pic of them, it looks like they're easy to make.

I have the lowers on my car. I would cautiously recommend them. They look fantastic and they're good quality arms, but I ended up with some ball joint issues. However, I was also doing a B-body spindle swap. I have pictures in the suspension section of my webpage.

Good luck,
Ryan

Thanks for the reply Ryan, I just found out that Afco is making a new chevelle lower arm that uses rod ends at the chassis mounts and is supposed to be very lightweight but very strong since it's designed for circle track racing. 300 a pair so I'll probably pick up a set of those once they're being sold in a few weeks. I'm trying to do the same thing with the tubular arms but sticking with the drum spindle for my wilwood brakes which limits me to using the longer curved upper arm like fatman makes. Maybe I'll just try to fab up a set on my own, and use almn solid upper cross shafts for weight.

car's lookin good, thanks again!

There's a local shop called UB Machine that makes circle track components. I have already talked to them about upper and lower control arms. They also said $300 a pair. Check them out at www.ubmachine.com (http://www.ubmachine.com)
