Thanks for the help on my smokin' brakes post. Pretty sure it was the rear hose, but haven't put a new one on yet. I stripped the fitting on the hard line, so had to order a new line.

The hose I bought at Advance Auto has a distribution block with a mounting hole in the middle. The one I took off screwed into a block that's mounted on the top of the rear housing. Anyone know which one's correct?

Thanks guys.

I used 68 Chevelle Malibu (from Dom's sig) for another Advance Auto Parts search and came up with this one. Don't understand why it listed a different part # for the El Camino (the hose that Tim has).

I vote for the lower "new" hose with the built in T fitting. That is what is on my '72 El Camino and the two Chevelles.

I got a 'replacement' hose - don't know if it's right for a 68 Elkie, but it's right for what's on mine. The parts guy looked up a 67 and found it - thinking maybe the change to the integrated distribution block was changed during the 68 model year. Both parts are listed for a 68 Chevelle.
