I'm making one. you wont be able to tell it was made even when you look from the underside.

Nice work man,impressive welds!!How are you going to make the transition to the front peak??Looks a little off,maybe it's just the light.Looks like a 67-69 camaro hood was sacrificed:)

I used a 67 chevelle hood. I made a piece and added it up front for the peak. Notice the neat little weld cooling device i built, its made out of copper and has water channels running through it. it uses a pond pump and pumps ice water through it. it works real good.

What do you do to the inside? Do you cut away most of the original hood? I ask because I glassed a finberglass L-88 hood on my steel Camaro hood and all was good til I washed it in the winter. Next morning it had popped loose in the front where the water was trapped and froze.

its no different than a stock hood. i removed all the center section and then installed the new one. the weld joints are located directly above the inner structure rails. so you cant see the welds. then i squeezed in some of the rubbery foam that is just like the factory stuff.
