How hot should a coil run after a 1 hour running. The primary voltage is 7 volts. I can only put my hand on it for about 30 seconds. The coil dose sit on the back of the intake manifold and covered with a chrome case. The car is a 65 corvette BB with the TI ignition. The TI has the new update modular and all new wireing harness. Sounds normal.

Underhood temperature will be well over 140 degrees; probably closer to 200. The coil is gonna be damned hot.
