I cant find a 2" lowering spring anywhere, there all for 1" or camaro's. 71' Chevelle, I know they have spindles but I know nothing about them, springs are easier, and cheaper from what I've seen.

I used a set of the Edelbrock Eibach springs on a big block and found they lowered the car close to 2". The drop looks good and the ride and handling is very good. I have done the hack and gash on Moog springs and found the 5536 with between 1/4 coil and 1/2 coil works but you still need to drop the rear. The rear is a double pig tail and can not be cut. The lowered out of the box Eibach springs are pretty easy to install. I bought mine from Summit.

Coil Spring Specialties can build you 2" lowering springs for your 71. I had a pair on the front of my former 68 El Camino w/BB. Worked great.
Will probably buy another pair for my 69.

Well other than that I am replacing my lower control arm front driver side, so I'm doing this all at once. I hear I may need a coil spring press, any tips tricks or problems that could accur with all this. smile.gif

Well OPG has the 2" drop springs I want. There $159 plus tax and shipping there $205 or so. Should I just wait and buy a good set of drop spindles? I dont want to suffer any performance loss or problems in the future, also spindles arent THAT much more expensive.....

You will loose some suspension travel and possibly bottom out easier with the shorter springs. The drop spindles are a good way too.
I went 1" shorter springs on the front with B-body spindles and cut 1.5 turns off my rear springs and my Elky rides and handles great.
Depends on what you want and how much $$$ you got graemlins/beers.gif
