I've been in the process of a frame off on a '69. I've made my second retrieval from the powdercoater today. It is really nice to take loads of dirty parts in and get them all cleaned and new looking. All I can tell you is to inspect your parts well before you leave them. I've had two big dollar disappointments.
So, here's the rules: If it's bent, it'll still be bent. If it has holes, it will still have holes. If it was pitted, it will still be pitted. If it has a score in it, it will still have the score. Get the picture? ;)

but now it's coated ......... :)
nothing like trying to align a 70-velle rear bumper with a deformed bumper mounting bracket, it's loads of fun, and the bracket was coated also. :(

Well....
As a powdercoater (hobby) I see some issues...
Did you discuss what you wanted done to the parts?
Did he know they were bent?
If you just drop off the parts then what do you expect?
I dont totally blame you...score should have been taken off.
but doing these things also require more money...
If someone were to bring me a rusted part I would say $10. for blasting and $20 for powder...I dont think I would ever powder a rusted part...
Can you go more into detail??

Just file this as advice *for* others from the school of hard knocks, not a complaint at all. :)

well if someone had brought something to me in poor condition, like you listed, I think I would have the common sense to ask if they would want it fixed...
people should also be aware that CHROMING can also be like this...
sounds like you may need to find a different coater...???
