I have just finished a change over to Disc using MP Brakes' kit and I am having problems with the outer pads dragging hard enough that when the wheel is off the rotor is very hard to turn. I have don just about everything I can from bleeding to adjusting is there any shims that I may need with this kit I have contacted MP Brakes and they are even clueless?

Make sure the bleeders and everything are closed up and push the brake pedal down hard a couple times. Engine on if they are power. That should center the caliper.
That being said I had one rotor that was hard to turn with all stock parts. Needed to use a tire iron in the lugs to turn the rotor. "Centering" the caliper didn't help much. I was able to turn it with the tire on so I called it good. Hasn't caused me any problems.

Is the pad seated in the caliper?
When I got my disks from global west, one of the pads didn't have the tabs bent right and was loose. I could imagine that they could get cocked or have one of the tabs bent between the caliper and pad, keeping the pad from retracting all the way.
Just a guess.

did you change the brake hoses? the reason I ask maybe one of the hoses is not letting the fluid return to the master cylinder after you release the brake pedal.
another thing, are you using the the right master cylinder pin for your application? I know there are two different pin lenghts.
are ther two different holes in your brake pedal arm? are you sure you're using the correct one?
a quick couple of things to look for.
good luck

Have new brake lines. Tried the setting the caliper by applying brakes while car is running. Belive I have pedal set correct according to MP Brakes directions. Have the pin set also according to the directions. I will try the pads again to see if they are set into the caliper correctly I'll let you know what I find.
