Im new to body work, hell never really done anything like a whole car before. I need to know what tools ill need and everything?

Still dont know what to do about the rear quarters above the back bumper.

Will the Bondo Brand filler work ok? Im not looking for a show quality trailer queen job just want to get it done and feel good about it that I did it myself.

Where is a good place to get these tools and such as well?

I hit up alot of the of the quarter and roof with a 4" long and 2" wide wooden block sander. The body has quite a few dents and waves that will have to be filled.

i personally like using usc brand body filler, seems to be everyone use either usc or rage,as far as block sanding i would get durablocks, 2ft and 1 ft would be acceptable, you want the biggest block possible for straightness, for curve like under the bodylines i just use a disposable paint roller, the top of your quarters are rotted over the bumper im guessing?

use a good quality filler usc is good evercoats rage and rage extreme, if you you use a cheap filler it will gum up your sandpaper with resins or when it dries is harded than stone to work with, you wont save any time or money using cheap fillers

Go to an automotive paint supply store in your area. They have the materials the professionals use. Cheaper materials will give you problems. Use a good quality body filler from evercoat, usc, or 3m. Ask the supply store employees for help in the right products to use. Most of the time the are knowledgeable enough to help you pick the right material and save you some money. You can usually get your body tools from them as well. I did paint and body work for 22 years. Just take your time and it will be an enjoyable project.

Take a look at these sanders. I purchased the 15" sander and use it everywhere I can. I have dome durablocks, but they sit on the shelf since I bought the AFS.

I went to the local paint supply today and priced out the Evercoat Rage Gold and Xtreme. It only comes in a gallon and wasnt too pricey so Ill get it. I think it was cheaper than the BONDO Brand. Also I looked at the sanders there, they had the durablocks and they were real pricey compared to the 6pc kit you can get on ebay. I was wondering how does the sand paper stay on the blocks? Do you just have to hold it on or what?

Those videos were cool but when sanding a painted fender don't ya have to get all the shiny clear coat off before repriming?? He didn't mention it cause he was demonstrating the sanders.

the paper comes in 2 3/4" rolls and is sticky, youll prolly need 80,180,320 grit sand paper, its usually 20-30$ a roll, yeah the durablocks are expensive, always use the biggest block possible but all you should need is a 2ft and maybe a 15" block

I like those AFS blocks but they are expensive. Im already stressing because I cant afford to do any of this at the moment, have little skills in this or for fab work.
