I'm looking for a bike for my son and there are several like this for sale, but the add doesn't leave a number or e-mail address. How do you contact these people? I tried clicking on the address shown for the add, but can't seem to get anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I'm not having any luck with that. I used to have earhlink internet service, but no longer do and when I click on that, my computer asks for my earthlink password, which I have no idea what it is.:confused: I don't understand why people just do not put there phone # on the add?

I do not answer any ad without a phone number..once you reply via e-mail they have YOUR e-mail...could be a scam to sell you E-mail...:yes:

I have a disposable yahoo account for that. anything I sign up for on the net gets the yahoo acct, then I promote it to a real account later.

John, to your original question: when you click an email address on the web your computer tries to bring up whatever it thinks your default email client is. Apparently your computer still thinks you have some version of the old earthlink email on the machine. apparently it was password protected so you get prompted. try installing another email client, configuring it to use a current email service.

Alternatively, you can copy and paste the 3487502347850234@craigslist.org email address into whatever email client you're using.
