Has anyone tried these salt flats on a 65 or around that year?
Also looking at the corvette style rally's, but have always like the salt flats in the polished, but the grey looks good too! Just like the clean one piece look.
Want to go a little wider in the rear and since the tire sits up inside the well a bit, I know back spacing is critical. Any clues from your experience what backspacing I need for the new wheels?
Aloha,
Scott

Here are a couple pictures I had of a 64 that had a similar style wheel. I think these are Budnik wheels. I tried salt flats on my 65. They looked OK. I think the wheels would of looked better if the car has a really low stance, similar to the one in the picture. For some reason I thought the rear wheel looked small and the front wheel looked really big when I tried them on my car. They were 17" wheels.
I have also had the rally's on my car and they look good, just depends what look you are after.

Those wheels are very nice and the stance is what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Backspacing is my concern with aftermarket wheels. Can anyone help me with the B/S on a '65 Malibu?

Need to know the same thingI have a 65 ss. When I did a search it seems most are running 4.5 but some post say 5.5? I'm wanting to run 275-60-15's (I rolled the lip on my rear quarter pannel). Thanks
