I am putting in the Hotchkis upper control arms and have a couple questions on the bushing that goes in the rear end.
(1)The bushings come with a ring of rubber/graphite that slides on the bushing, does it go on before or after the bushing is in place on the rear end?
(2) I am trying to figure the best way to press in the bushing in my 12 bolt, any ideas that will make this work?
Thanks

with those rings you put the ring on after the bushings in and with the 12 bolt on one side you have to trim the ring for it to fit... just the way they are designed. I got mine in by freezing them overnight it shrinks they down a bit and then i brought out the BFH! the rearend bushings actually went in a lot easier than the fronts ;)

I used a piece of threaded rod, a few pieces of pipe and some big ass washers, and made a tool to press the bushings in.

If my feeble ol' brain serves me, I think I put the sleeve in part way and then put the trimmed down ring over the end of the sleeve and then press it the rest of the way in. Ummm... too long ago.....
