Hi, I want to pick up some new wheel studs for my 66. I will be using Torque Thrust II wheels with closed lugs.
On my front I will have 1LE rotors, I want to remove the 12mm lugs and replace them with 7/16 threads (maybe even 1/2). What diameter andhow long should I get them?
On my stock rear I will be using 97 camaro brakes and want to replace them with 7/16 threads (or again 1/2) what length and diameter should I get?
I will probably go with ARP studs, it maybe overkill but I like the insurance.
Thanks!

I'm currently doing a 1LE conversion on my 68.
I decided to use 7/16" studs.
I had to have the rotors drilled oversized to 9/16" for the new studs. The studs I'm using are a total of 1 21/32" long. They are 1 3/16" long from flush of the rotor. These are the same studs Global West has.
The original studs are too small at the knurl to use in the 1LE rotors.
I can't say for sure if they will work w/ closed style nuts. I'd say so though.

A GOOD local hardware store will have a selection of socket head cap screws, you can tap the hub for a 1/2X20 thread and run cap screws in from the back with some red or green locktite

Home depot or Lowes don't stock them, it needs to be a good nuts and bolts place, in CA we have Orchard Supply, real good for small neat stuff.

I am having a tough time finding specs on studs! I found some info on some dorman studs though.
The stock rear lugs on the are dorman 610-186, 7/16 at 1 15/32 long.
I see an extended option. dorman 610-157 7/16 at 2 1/8 long. (since its presented as an option in autozones books I assume its the same knurl)
Is this to long for closed nuts do you think?
How 'good' is dorman?
Anyone know the stock knurl size on a 66 (I think its the same on most gm cars with 7/16 since the saem dorman number for my 66 is the same as an 81 camaro).
Thanks!

Check into 610-259 for the rear. 1 3/4" long .475" knurl. I have got those for the rear of my 68.
For other #'s you can search Dorman here (http://www.rbinc.com/) for specs. You need the number for the specs though.
Here (http://www.chevelles.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=007613) is what I did with my 1LE fronts.
