Hey Team,

I have a Th400 that I bought for my 70 Vert and it never had a Speedo Gear Housing installed. Instead the builder just put a block off plate (like a freeze plug) in it. I really want to hook up a speedometer for street use.

What do I need to buy to put the housing in? Is it just the housing with the appropriate speedo gear for my rear axle ratio? I've seen some online trans houses that sell the housing, but I just want to make sure I get everything I need to do the job when I start.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

If the driven gear is still installed on the output shaft ,you'll need to find the tooth count for the housing/gear install.
Should be able to just get the housing/gear and install it ,just check for the driven gear as I said.
