The simple act of starting your car should not cause the brake pedal to move at all. Thats true with either power or non power brakes.
More info is needed here. Is your brake pedal going down of its own accord when you start the car or is it going down too low when you step on it as you drive?
Do the brakes feel like they are working properly?

OK yes the brake pedal does not go down by itself......sorry!!!!! as soon as i step on it it does not start to grab until at least an inch through.....it has 4 wheel disc brakes....so i called Mp brakes and they told me i need the 8 inch dual diaphram power booster that puts out 1400 psi.....and the original only puts out 800!!!! any truth to that????? I have bled them many times...i got straight fluid coming out on all 4 corners ....it does brake but a little.... to late for my liking....so do i need this new Power Booster to push more fluid???? thanx for any help

I would check out one of the hydro boost systems basically uses power steering pump to give you your psi pretty sweet and some are quite small just an idea

I have one of the HydroBoost kits on my '69 Elcamino. It works great. I can show you pictures if you like.
