Hey guys, I getting ready to swap my front springs, and trying to see if anyone has any tips or advice on how to get the lower a-arm down or how to get that ball joint apart. I've never done this before and wanted to do it right the first time, so hopefully you all can help me. Thanks guys I appreciate it.

I've done it this way.
1. Jack car up, place jack stand to support frame
2. Remove shocks and replace with the jack handle or suitable length of rebar.
3. Place jack under bottom a-arm
4. Loosen, but do not remove castle nut
5. Whack the spindle with a 5lb slege hammer. Might take a couple hits.
6. Lower jack slowly.
7. Support spindle, upper a-arm, tie rod by placing the removed shock between the a-arm and frame
8. Remove jack handle/rebar
9. Pull spring out, replace with the new one.
10. Replace jack handle/rebar
11. Jack bottom a-arm slowly
12. Tighten castle nut, replace cotter pin with a new one
13. Rinse and repeat (hahaha)

I done mine exactly as described in the forums here and it went very well. Think safety though as it could be dangerous if done improperly.
