I hope this isn't as stupid of a question as it sounds in my head. LOL

Does TQ stall speed affect shift points at all? Really doesn't seem like it should make a huge difference, but if the converter is too loose, will it stay in gear longer? Essentially keeping it from shifting until near or past stall speed.

With whats in my sig, I can't get the TH-200 (2600-2800 RPM stall)to shift at a decent RPM. It stays in 1st and 2nd till about 3000 RPM, and adjusting the TV cable has made very little change. I do have a tighter converter to put in, for the sake of drivability if nothing else, but don't know if it will help the shift points at all.

This TH-200 has me at my wits end...I hate this thing!! But I have to live with it for now and simply want to make it more drivable.

Thanks

Anyone??

Sorry for the typo...I just noticed...

So I hope everyone realizes I mean torque converter stall speed.
