: Recommended aftermarket shifter?

I'd like to replace the shifter in my '67 Impala. It currently has a 70's Pontiac shifter installed in the factory console. Since the console is in rough shape, I'm going to pull it out and put in an aftermarket floor shifter.
Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket floor shifter? The car has a stock TH400 and is 90% street use.

I guess that sort of depends on your goals, but many of them (B & M, Hurst) will operate in straight gated mode or in ratchet mode. I chose the B & M Quicksilver since I needed a ratchet shifter to operate my TH350 with a full manual valve body.
If the other 10% of your driving will be done at the strip, then a shifter like this might be great for you because in ratchet mode it offers nice control of the shifting, gives you reverse lockout, etc.
Good luck!

I'm partial to the B&M Megashifter.
