Is there an internet card that will work with this machine. Do not want to rely on Wi-Fi. I do not use it for much more than email.

Thanks
Jon

What are you calling an internet card ?
It has an integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN.
Plug it into a router/modem and your there.
It also has 802.11b/g WLAN for your wireless.

Wi-Fi by its very nature is a wireless LAN based on 802.11 standards. AT&T has wireless connect cards but might be more expensive than your needs. Can we assume you'll be reading /writing emails while being a passenger and not while driving?

While I don't advise writing emails, using the internet or whatever while driving... people will do what they want.

Here's your best bet. It sounds like you're a busy guy, why don't you just get a Windows Mobile cell phone from one of the cell carriers with a unlimited data plan? You will be able to do everything from the phone you can on the laptop, with broadband speed. And if you must use the laptop, you can always teather the phone to the laptop and use it as your broadband modem. The cost is going to be about the same as getting a broadband card only for the laptop in the end, might as well gain some convenience on your part.

Thank you Jake. Makes good sense.

Can I connect to a Blackberry World Edition 8830 easily?

Jon, you should be able to. I'm more well versed in the Windows Mobile phones, but go to the crackberry.com forums and search around there. If anybody's did it, somebody on there's did it and might even have a step by step guide for you.
