My son and I are fixing up a 71 Malibu. Authentic restoration is not our goal. We have access to a 1979 Camero w/ a V8 and wanted to know if the power front disc brakes and the bucket seats will work on the Chevelle. It currently has non-power drums on the front and a bench seat. Thanks for any feedback.

They can be made to work.

Trust me on this, you'll want to perform a search (search for "tall spindle") to get the good and the bad information out of the swap.

If you are going this route I would suggest not using the Camaro spindles and finding a set of B-body 12" tall spindles (the camaro's are 11"). They'll fit in 15" wheels and use the camaro's calipers.

Good luck,
Joe
