Hey folks, My old parking brake cable on my 70 Chevelle SS was frozen and no longer allowed the brake to work. It also was missing the little hooks to hold the cable tight. I have put new cables on but cannot figure out where all the hooks go. I have 2 small hooks and one very large hook that came with the kit. Does anybody have a good photo of their undercarriage that shows the location of the hooks and cable? Even a diagram would help. I have a Haynes manual (what a joke). I guess I need to get a shop and chassis manual but any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Skip

The big hook goes into a hole on the top of the tranny crossmember, passenger side. It hooks to the intermediate cable opposite where the front cable hooks up. The little hooks go into holes in the floor support about half way between the tranny crossmember and where the rear cables go through the frame.

A factory assembly manual is well worth the investment.
