Just got back for a car show with my 66 and my wife saw a 1970 ss convertible and fell in love. We have been talking for a while about getting her a car to restore. Does anyone know what a ball park figure for one of these cars would be? I know it is a broad questions, but she would like to be able to drive it now and just be able to replace parts on it or have them restores ( not an off the body kinda gal) . Numbers do not have to be matching, but she likes them original and not all fixed up with aftermarket products on them

Chad as far as a ballpark number for a car like this, they are all over the spectrum and it depends on what you're really looking for. A real SS with paperwork obviously will command a hefty price but a well done clone may suit your needs as well. Herein lies the vast differences in price, from say 65K to 25K. There is a Red/Black 70 Chevelle clone vert that is still listed in the main area of cars for sale on this site that sold in the 24/25K area recently and it sold very fast. I thought the car was a steal at that number. Check out all the various sites of cars for sale, if you find something of interest, post it up in the WIW forum and you'll get some good feedback on it. Make sure you have some good pictures of it, the more pictures you have, the better. Good luck searching.:thumbsup:

Dude thats exactly like my wife! In addition to a 70 ragtop, she'd also like a 67-68 ragtop Mustang or a 33 Ford 3 Window! The cool part is, if I can ever come across one I can afford, she's game!
