Could someone please post a photo or 2 of their brakeline plumbing of the master cylinder lines for a drum to disc brake conversion? I need to plumb it from scratch as I have put a 70 disc setup with a 70 disc MC into a 65 Elky. The full setup is all installed except for the MC lines.
Are there 2 individual lines for the front wheels, coming off the front of the metering valve?
How about eliminating the original metering/prop. valve, running a split line to the front wheels directly off the front of the MC and just putting an adjustable proportioning valve into the rear line coming off the rear outlet of the MC, to the rear?
Thanks,

to the rear?I don't think I have any photos, but I ran the front line directly to a small juction block that only splits to the two front wheels... The rear line runs through an adjustable proportioning valve... Haven't had any problems for several years... I do NOT use the "factory" proportioning/combination valve.
My front brakes are 1972 Chevelle power discs, and the rear are stock drums, although the master cylinder is a 4-wheel-disc (late 70's Trans Am, haven't got around to the rear swap because of wheel clearance issues).

Thanks for the input. I'll probably do the same as you mentioned. I eventually will add the rear discs too and it'll be a simple retuning to balance them.

Anyone else done this way? satisfied with the results?
Thanks

This is what I came up with on my '64. It's an MP-Brakes kit. The proportioning valve is mounted directly under the master on a bracket.

The large line coming forward then doing a loop back is the feed to the rears. I bent an individual line to each front (the prop. valve had 2 ports for front)

Hope this helps.
