have a 1988 caprice and i am getting ready to take it to the junkyard. Are there any suspension parts that i should keep off of this car that would possibly fit on my 72 chevelle?brakes, master, steering box or the sway bar?? would hate to get rid of it and then find out later that i could have used some parts.any info would be great!!thanks.mike.
I believe the spindles are used in the tall brake swap.

The spindles are useful if they have 12" rotors. You can also use the steering box (I think) and master cylinder. Also check and see if it has aluminum rear drums, they will work on a Chevelle as well.

Did those cars use a 5 on 5 bolt pattern? The Transmission may be worth saving even though its not a suspension part someone may want it.

Tranny is probably either a TH-350 or a 700R-4
Either one is worth saving.

Save the jack it is a lot safer to use than a bumper jack and will fit the Chevelle frame.
